As a former hobbyist photographer, I've taken photos on/off again for over 40 years as I've followed my kids thru key milestones and documented favorite travel adventures. I've always the loved the story as much as the beauty of a photograph, leading me to explore different ways to publish what I've captured.
Recently retired from my full time job in the corporate world, I've found new inspiration and joy in finally being able to focus full time on photography.
I currently offer
(1) Portrait sessions with resulting digital or published (paper, metals, canvas, photobook) images.
(2) Photobook Stories, using either photos from a WYS portrait session, or compiled from existing photos you provide.

Portrait sessions
A "What's Your Story" Portrait session is about capturing the essence of a person as they are today; a snapshot in time of their character, strengths, & passions.
My goal is that the resulting photographs reflect the charismatic energy and unique beauty of the subject.
I like shooting in peaceful locations, by the ocean is a favorite, because it truly does soothe the soul and encourages the subject to relax, reflect, and feel joyful.

Photobook Stories
Today, everyone can publish their own photo books pretty easily online. Just upload your photos & they are arranged in pre-designed templates for you. Just pick your cover, paper type, and hit publish and your book arrives in a few weeks!
However, if you want something special that is custom designed to really bring the story behind the photos to life, but don't have spare time to invest, WYS can help!
The service I offer is to design and assemble the book for you, sort thru pictures you have provided, or that I've taken in a Portrait session, and arrange the best ones to tell your story. I'll interview you, capture the story, select the right photos, and enlist your help as we write the story lines and captions to bring the photobook to life.
